Clean living reviews
As many supporters as they are for clean living, there are almost as many critics. Clean living is a safer and more environmentally friendly alternative to standard cleaning procedures and cleaning products. Allegedly, the ingredients used for clean living products are natural and biodegradable, and as such, they are better for both the users and the environment. However, that is not to say that the products don't have critics. Although some people may be against the movement for the sake of it, there are many reasonable concerns surrounding clean living products.
Are they really clean?
The whole point of clean living products is that they are good for the environment and user. In other words, they are "clean" in themselves. What is taken from the environment to produce them is eventually given back since they are biodegradable. However, in today's day and age, with so many brands claiming the environmental friendliness of their products, it may be difficult to determine whether or not these products are actually clean. Very few people bother to check the proper certifications. In any case, even though it is supposed to be the seller's job to report this information, it is almost always withheld.
Unreliable claims
This brings into question the reliability of these products. Are they really as green as they claim, or are they putting on a show for the customers? Because people have been deceived time and again with supposedly clean living products (which, in actuality, were regular chemical products). They are hesitant to trust new brands who make the same claims. Now, people are more likely not to trust products that claim that they are green. They might analyze the ingredients list and certifications in detail. Alternatively, they might resort to regular products that use chemicals - at the very least, these standard products are transparent in their reports of the ingredients used. Why pay more for something that will harm you and the environment as much as a cheaper version of the product would?
Accountability
The problem with clean living products is that there are few regulatory bodies to control these claims. What is essential is that the brands that claim the environmental friendliness of their products should have proper certification so that their claims have some reliable backing. They should disclose any ingredients used, even if they use a bit of chemicals. Customers have the right to know what is used in the products - this is absolutely essential because if customers are allergic to a specific ingredient that is not mentioned but still used, this could cause a myriad of problems for both the company and the user.
At the end of the day, what matters is how the producers incorporate clean living into their products rather than how the public perceives them. If they are honest and reliable in their claims, clean living will surely become a more popular and helpful movement.
